About This Spot
Stepping into Cafe Frida feels like being welcomed into a friend’s warm, creative nook—an inviting coffee shop where every detail suggests comfort and care. Nestled on a cozy corner in Garland, its vibe unfolds with quiet energy, a gentle hum of conversation mixing with the subtle clink of cups and soft music. This is the kind of place where afternoons stretch out comfortably, where the pace is unhurried yet alive with small, human moments. The air carries hints of roasted coffee beans mingling with the delicate sweetness of housemade pastries and inventive treats. There’s an undeniable charm in the way the menu nudges curious palates to explore—from the rich, velvety layers of a Vietnamese coffee topped with ube foam to the floral notes in a lavender-infused coconut milk tea. These drinks invite you to explore familiar flavors through a slightly unexpected lens, each cup reflecting a quiet joy in creativity.
Surrounded by touches of greenery and soft, artful details, Cafe Frida feels more like a lived-in gathering place than a typical coffee stop. The blend of cultural influences in both ambiance and menu cultivates a space that’s simultaneously grounded and imaginative—a locale to reset or catch up with friends without the rush.
Beyond coffee, there’s a small selection of light bites and sweet surprises that complement the slow, thoughtful pace—comforting churros, creamy tres leches cakes, or perhaps a blueberry muffin that pairs perfectly with a matcha latte. Whether you’re settling in for some quiet reflection or wrapping up a casual rendezvous, Cafe Frida offers a feeling of calm connection, a gentle pause in the day made all the more memorable by its signature warmth and originality.

Came here for the first time me and my husband were visiting family and this coffee shop was near by. Had the Carmel latte with sweet foam and my husband had the Ron Weasley latte which he loved. The atmosphere was so chill and comfy. Staff was super friendly and patient. This is going to be our to go spot every time we come visit now.

Loved the drinks and the space is so cozy. My wife had the strawberry matcha and i enjoyed the Mexican mocha. Service took about 10 minutes since they were super packed inside but the drinks were 10/10 will return back to try new drinks. We also enjoyed the everything avacado toast it was so good!

Fun, friendly vibe and good coffee and light bites! This is a super-cute, casual spot great for a friendly cup of hot or iced coffee and a sandwich or elote. They also have an ice cream bar with 15+ flavors. Prices are moderate. Parking on the side and in front of the cafe. I will definitely be back :)

Cuuuuuttteee. The vibe is so artsy. It’s like walking into your painter friend’s abode. The plant life made the atmosphere so calming. It’s connected to an ice cream spot too. What a sugar rush. However, I was a bit underwhelmed with the soft pop tart and lavender with no lavender macha iced latte. But the strawberry macha with foam was delish. Just wasn’t my order. Maybe invest in a toaster oven, then that vegan pop-tart with guava filling would achieve its purpose of scoring 10/10. For the latte, I mean we skipped something? No? But after a slight panic because I forgot to add oak-milk, I realized they use lactose-free milk on all the drinks. So points were redeemed. It’s still a must-go especially, if you like Frida like I do, and plant-life. Overall, I could certainly spend more time with a great conversationalist & a better selected latte choice. Probably will go for the Ube next time. I knew I drew the wrong conclusion!! Until next time.

This is my second time coming and it is not my last! I had the lavender latte and I love how light it was. I also got the ube tres leches cake and it was the best I ever had. Creamy and perfect amount of sweetness. I feel at peace coming here and love the decor

Loved the mango matcha! My friend went ahead and got a latte and it was so good. The atmosphere is beautiful and I love the warm lighting which makes it perfect for studying or simply catching up with a friend. There’s an ice cream shop on the other side with their own flavors of ice cream. Plus the girls working the front were very friendly!
